Description: Inspector McManamay accompanied Sheriff Gum to arrest two suspects for illegal distribution of liquor. The lawmen stopped the suspect's vehicle and ordered them to surrender their guns. The suspects then opened fire on both lawmen. Inspector McManamay died at the scene. Sheriff Gum survived his injuries.
