Description: Patrolman Mack collapsed and died of a heart attack after using an inhalator to revive an elderly woman who was overcome by carbon monoxide fumes. Patrolman Mack and members of the fire brigade responded to a call of the smell of gas fumes. They entered the residence to find the oven on, the windows closed, the homeowner and family dog deceased and an unconscious woman. Patrolman Mack worked to revive the woman until the ambulance arrived. Patrolman Mack collapsed and died at the scene.
