Description: Constable Mancos was stabbed as he attempted to arrest a suspect on a charge of assault. When Constable Mancos arrived at the residence to arrest the suspect, he was attacked by the husband of the suspect and stabbed several times. Although mortally wounded, Constable Mancos drew his weapon and shot his assailant. Constable Mancos was transported to the hospital where he died. Two suspects were arrested and charged with murder.
