Description: Deputy Sheriff Manning was killed in an automobile crash as he pursued a motorist for a traffic violation. The patrol vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle going the opposite direction. Deputy Manning died at the scene. The occupants of the vehicle involved in the collision suffered non-life threatening injuries. The motorist was charged with multiple traffic, narcotics, and obstruction offenses.
