Description: Officer MacPhail was working in an off-duty capacity as a security officer at the bus terminal when he went to assist a victim who was being assaulted in the parking lot. Officer MacPhail was shot in the head and then shot several times as he lay on the ground dying. Officer MacPhail's assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to death.
