Description: Officer Morales was shot and killed when he confronted a fare evader leaving the U Street-Cardozo Metro station in Washington, D.C. During the confrontation, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot Officer Morales in the head. The suspect stole the Officer's service weapon and fled. Philadelphia Police Officers arrested the suspect one week later, who was still in possession of Officer Morales' service weapon. The suspect was charged with the murder of Officer Morales.
