Description: Captain Marshall was fatally shot as he escorted a suspect who was accused of attempting to cash a forged check. As Captain Marshall escorted the suspect from the bank to the home of the person who allegedly issued the check, the suspect pulled a gun and shot Captain Marshall in the head. The suspect was convicted of murder and executed by hanging.
