Description: Patrolman Martin was shot in an exchange of gunfire as he and a posse of law enforcement officers attempted to arrest rum runners. Patrolman Martin was transported to the hospital where he died. Two suspects were convicted of manslaughter and each sentenced to 10 years in prison.
