Description: Transportation Officers Massengill and Alexander Carson were transporting seven prisoners from the Tennessee State Penitentiary to the Brushy Mountain Correctional facility when their automobile crashed with another vehicle at an intersection. Officer Massengill was killed instantly. Officer Carson was injured, but survived.
