Description: On July 16, 1922, Trooper McManus was involved in a motorcycle crash while working on an undercover assignment. Trooper McManus sustained abdominal injuries, which included a rupture of the intestines and lacerated bowels. Trooper McManus medically retired on April 1, 1927. Trooper McManus died of complications directly related to the original injury on February 28, 1938.
