Description: Lieutenant McGann collapsed after responding to a burglary in progress call. Lieutenant McGann ran to the scene and actively assisted the investigation. A suspect was located in the rear of the building and placed under arrest. Three other suspects were arrested charged with underage drinking. There were no signs of forced entry. Shortly after, Lieutenant McGann was found slumped over the steering wheel, and his patrol car had struck a light pole. Lieutenant McGann was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead of a heart attack.
