Description: Police Officer Meacham was shot and killed, while off duty, by a person he observed driving a suspicious vehicle. Officer Meacham contacted an on-duty supervisor and waited for a marked patrol unit. After briefing the officer on the situation, the officers approached the vehicle. Officer Meacham displayed his badge and identified himself as a police officer and was met by gunfire. The suspect was shot and killed as officers attempted to take him into custody.
