Description: Police Officer Mengedoht was killed in an automobile crash by an impaired driver in a semi-truck as she conducted a traffic stop. Officer Mengedoht was seated in the patrol vehicle when the semi-truck struck the patrol car and pushed it into the stopped vehicle. Officer Mengedoht died at the scene. The driver of the stopped vehicle suffered minor injuries. The driver of truck was charged with driving under the influence and murder of a law enforcement officer.
