Description: Deputy Meyer was killed in a single vehicle accident while patrolling on Highway 95. During a violent thunderstorm, Deputy Meyers lost control of his cruiser on the wet pavement, causing it to roll over several times. His shotgun, which was mounted on the back windshield of his cruiser, came loose during the accident and discharged, striking him in the back of the head. Deputy Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
