Description: Officer McAndrews was on his way to report for duty when he observed Deputy J.M. Madigan chasing two suspects on foot. Deputy Madigan signaled for help and Officer McAndrews joined in the chase. The officers pursued the suspect for about a block, captured him and placed him under arrest. As Deputy Madigan was handcuffing the suspect, Officer McAndrews suffered a heart attack. Officer McAndrews was transported to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
