Description: On May 2, 1923, Deputy Sheriff Mooney was shot as he removed furniture from a residence on a writ for failure to make payments. Deputy Mooney was transported to the hospital where he remained until his death two weeks later on May 19th. The suspect was convicted of second degree murder.
