Description: Deputy Sheriff Moore was struck by an oncoming vehicle as he conducted a routine traffic stop. Deputy Moore was transported to the hospital where he died of a fractured skull. The driver of the vehicle said he was blinded by the headlights of both the stopped truck and the patrol car. The incident was ruled as accidental and the driver was not charged.
