Description: Chief Moore was shot when he and Constable Bratz traveled to a neighboring town to serve an arrest warrant on suspect wanted on a domestic disturbance charge. The officers attempted to enter the residence after the suspect refused to answer the knock on the door. The suspect fired several times at the officers through the door. Chief Moore was shot and died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
