Description: Deputy Marshal Moore was shot when he went to a restaurant to serve a writ. The owner of the restaurant confessed the crime to the sheriff and stated that he shot Deputy Marshal Moore in the head, placed his body in the car trunk, buried the body in a shallow grave. The suspect was determined to be mentally incompetent and sentenced to a mental institution. Deputy Marshal Moore's body was never located.
