Description: Conservation Officer Mims died of a heart attack while conducting an undercover investigation. While investigating commercial fishing violations that involved placing and pulling nets and trotlines, Officer Mims became ill and returned to headquarters. Officer Mims collapsed while completing paperwork related to the investigation. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
