Description: Deputy Moore and his partner Creed Rogers were driving home from work when a volley of gunfire erupted. Deputy Moore was killed. Deputy Rogers survived the attack but was blinded in one eye. The deputies had been appointed to patrol against Klan activity in Black neighborhoods.
