Description: Deputy Sheriff McDuffie was killed in a single-vehicle crash after transporting a juvenile to the Hardin County Detention Center. Deputy McDuffie failed to negotiate a curve; his patrol vehicle left the roadway, struck a grove of trees and caught fire. Deputy McDuffie was trapped in his patrol vehicle and died at the scene.
