Description: Roundsman Montgomery was on routine foot patrol when he noticed that a fellow police officer was not at his post. Roundsman Montgomery found Officer Rourke in a local shanty, drinking. As Roundsman Montgomery escorted Officer Rourke back to the department, Officer Rourke shot Roundsman Montgomery in the side with his department revolver. Roundsman Montgomery was hospitalized and died three days later of internal injuries.
