Description: Patrolman May and his partner, Patrolman Norman Lee, responded to a disturbance call at a local tavern. After discovering that the suspect causing the disturbance had left the tavern, the patrolmen offered a ride home to the victim, a lady, who had been beaten up. While exiting the tavern, the victim saw the suspect and alerted the patrolmen. In an exchange of gunfire, Patrolman May was shot once fatally in the back. Patrolman Lee shot and killed the suspect.
