Description: PFC McKenna, a military policeman, was shot and killed at the main gate when he attempted to stop a car from leaving the Fort Gordon Army Base in Fort Gordon, Georgia. PFC McKenna was shot in the face. The two drunken men responsible for the murder had stolen a car and robbed a tavern earlier that night. The shooter was sentenced to life in prison, and his accomplice pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
