Description: Deputy Murphy was fatally shot from ambush after delivering a prisoner to the Logan County Sheriff in West Virginia. The suspect fled but was caught by a posse. The man claimed that he had intended to ambush a different group of men and targeted the Sheriff's group in a case of mistaken identity. The suspect was charged with murder.
