Description: Sergeant Motley was shot in the chest by two suspects who had lured the officer to the area on a false call. Sergeant Motley was shot from behind by Lynda Lyon, as Sgt. Motley was exchanging fire with George Sibly, Jr. Both Sibly and Lyon were convicted of murder and sentenced to death. Lynda Lyon, who was one of four women on Alabama's death row, was executed on May 10, 2002. George Sibley was executed on August 5, 2005.
