Description: Patrolman McKenzie was killed in an automobile crash when he responded to a fire alarm while on his way to work. While en route to the call, he collided with a patrol car driven by Patrolman Bryant Birt. Patrolman Birt was paralyzed and died three years later from his injuries on July 29, 1944.
