Description: Patrolman Monahan died in a single-car automobile accident while returning from serving a warrant in the Village of Sidney Center. Patrolman Monahan swerved to avoid striking an oncoming vehicle. His patrol car hit the guardrail and crashed into a ditch. Patrolman Monahan died of a fractured skull.
