Description: Officers Mayhle and Paul Sciullo II were shot and killed after responding to a domestic disturbance call. As two officers approached the door of the residence, the suspect fired an AK-47, killing Officer Sciullo. Officer Mayhle shot the suspect in the leg with his service weapon and began to follow the injured suspect into the home, when he was shot in the head.. Officer Eric Kelly, the first officer to respond after Officers Sciullo and Mayhle had been shot, was also shot and wounded by the suspect as Officer Kelly exited his vehicle at the scene; he died of his injuries in the hospital. The suspect held officers at bay for four hours in a shootout until he finally surrendered.
