Description: Sergeant Medeiros was killed in a motorcycle accident while en route to work. Sergeant Medeiros was riding his personal motorcycle and in full uniform which included his weapon, vest, and department radio. While negotiating a railroad grade crossing, Sergeant Medeiros lost control of his motorcycle on the roadway curvature, left the roadway and down an embankment. Sergeant Medeiros was killed instantly when he was thrown off of the motorcycle and into a utility pole.
