Description: Detective Melancon was shot and killed while executing a search warrant. Detective Melancon and two other officers attempted to serve a warrant at the suspect?s residence when they were ambushed by gunfire. Officer Melancon was shot in the head and killed instantly. The other two officers were wounded but survived. The suspect was also shot and killed.
