Description: Patrolman Mahoney died when his patrol wagon overturned and pinned him to the ground during a collision. He was on his was to assist the victims of another auto accident. Officer Mahoney, another officer and three civilians were seriously injured when a car collided with their patrol wagon. He resumed consciousness briefly before succumbing to his injuries at 2:15 a.m.
