Description: Police Officer Murphy was shot and killed while investigating a report of a suspicious subject at a residence. Officer Murphy and his partner were searching the area where the suspect was thought to have fled, when the suspect shot Officer Murphy from a dark alcove. Officer Murphy was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was charged with first-degree murder.
