Description: Officers MacMahan and Henry Harris were walking south on Main Street when they heard the sound of shots being fired. They ran to Missouri Avenue, to discover that a saloon was being robbed and the owner wounded. Officer MacMahan spotted the suspect but was shot before he could apprehend him. However, Officer MacMahan managed to return fire before collapsing. Officer Harris shot at the robber, but the man escaped. The suspect was arrested after a fight with four patrolmen.
