Description: Chief of Police McGill was accidentally shot in the head while in the storage room in the town hall. The gun was stored in a box along with cleaning rags and hung from the wall. Chief McGill's own gun was in place in his hip holster when his body was found. The investigation concluded that Chief McGill accidentally dropped the gun when he removed it from the box to clean it. The coroner's jury ruled the death accidental due to lack of powder burns on his forehead and the distance of the gun from the body.
