Description: Sheriff Mosier was returning to Shawnee from Mt. Pleasant, Texas where he had assisted a GM employee repossess a car. A vehicle ahead of Sheriff Mosier entered a part of the roadway that was newly graveled and raised a thick cloud of dust which obscured his vision. As Sheriff Mosier attempted to go around the dust cloud, his vehicle collided head-on with a truck. Sheriff Mosier died at the scene from severe head injuries.
