Description: Officer McEwen was on patrol when he saw two suspicious individuals. One of the men, who had a gun in a shoulder holster, ran with Officer McEwen in pursuit. As the suspect attempted to climb a fence, Officer McEwen caught him and the two struggled. The suspect gained control of Officer McEwen's revolver and shot him twice with his own gun. The suspect fled and was not apprehended. Officer McEwen died at the doctor's office.
