Description: Deputy Sheriff Mundell and his partner responded to a domestic violence call where an intoxicated suspect was fighting with family members. The deputies convinced the suspect to leave the residence. After exiting the home, the suspect produced a weapon and fired several rounds at the deputies. Although wounded, Deputy Mundell was able to return fire and kill the suspect. Deputy Mundell was transported to a local hospital where he remained on life support until succumbing to his injuries seven days later.
