Description: Correction Officer Mitchell was killed when the prison transport van crashed on an icy interstate. Correctional Officers Douglas Scrivner and Richard Lake were also injured in the accident. Charges are pending against the prison guard who was driving the vehicle irresponsibly on the icy stretch of road. Two prison inmates were also treated at area hospitals.
