Description: Two ex-convicts robbed a taxi driver of $7, then ordered him to get gas at a filling station. The cab driver managed to get away and called for help. Sgt. Miller responded on his police motorcycle and arrived at a toll bridge just as the suspects were speeding across state lines into Omaha and exchanging gunfire with the booth operator. Sgt. Miller wounded one of the suspects fatally, but was shot in the head and died the next day.
