Description: Deputy Sheriff McIntosh was shot as he attempted to arrest two robbery suspects. The suspects had barricaded part of the roadway and then robbed travellers when they stopped. As Deputy McIntosh lay wounded, the robbers refused all attempts to let him receive medical assistance. Deputy McIntosh died at the scene. The suspects escaped but were later arrested.
