Description: Constable Madden was shot as he questioned a group of suspicious men in an automobile. As Constable Madden stood on the running board of the vehicle, one of the men one drew a gun and shot him. Constable Madden died at the scene. Four suspects were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
