Description: Private McMillion was shot and killed in an ambush. Private McMillion and three other officers went to arrest a suspect east of Matewan when they were fired upon from the mountains by an unknown suspect. Private McMillion was shot in the head and lay there in the hot sun for more than an hour before his companions could assist him. Each time they tried to get to him they were fired upon. Private McMillion died the next day.
