Description: Patrolman McGary died as a result of injuries sustained the previous night after being struck by a driver under the influence of narcotics. Patrolman McGary was directing traffic around the scene of a crash when the driver of an SUV failed to yield. The driver struck Patrolman McGary, who was wearing a reflective vest, pinning him against his patrol vehicle. Patrolman McGary was airlifted to a hospital where he died the following day. The suspect was apprehended.
