Description: Deputy Sheriff Mast was shot and killed while responding to a call from dispatch. Deputy Mast and a fellow deputy responded to the location of the call. Upon arriving at the scene, the deputies were ambushed by a suspect. The suspect opened fire, striking Deputy Mast. The second deputy was able to return fire, killing the suspect. Deputy Mast was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
