Description: Trooper Martindale died as a result of injuries sustained while responding to the scene of a plane crash two years earlier. Trooper Martindale was running uphill towards the scene of the crash, when he tripped and fell on a piece of rescue equipment he was carrying. Trooper Martindale required numerous surgeries and medical procedures. Trooper Martindale died on July 24, 2013 after complications from a surgery related to his initial injury.
