Description: Deputy Sheriffs Nolen and Kevan Ward were shot without provocation while providing assistance to a motorist whose car was stuck. The deputies were giving the motorist a ride when the man pulled a gun and fatally shot both Deputy Nolen and Deputy Ward. The suspect was arrested and charged with murder but was ruled mentally incompetent to stand trial.
