Description: Although his murder was never solved, it is widely believed that Detective Nolan became the victim of box car thieves previously responsible for relatively substantial amounts of on-going thefts. When his body was found, his revolver was missing. Subsequent investigations indicate Nolan was shot in the torso with his own weapon.
