Description: Corporal Nesbitt was killed in an automobile crash after transporting an inmate to a jail facility. While en route back to the department, Corporal Nesbitt suffered a medical condition which caused him to black out as he drove the patrol vehicle. The patrol vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on. Corporal Nesbitt, a fellow officer and the driver of the vehicle that was struck were transported to a hospital. Corporal Nesbitt died as a result of his injuries. The officer and driver both survived.
